Like all good TED Talks the below video is entertaining while, more importantly, offering the message that we have all changed someone’s life for the better, usually without even realizing it.
In this video, Drew Dudley asks question, provides examples and shares a most powerful quote. He wonders if we have made leadership a place that’s beyond us? We need to value and celebrate those little things we do every day that make a difference. Sometimes those little acts we do for others make an enormous impact on the individual, which we may not even realize at that moment. Dudley contends that leadership is not about money or power or titles or influence; it’s about how we can make a positive difference in people’s lives. We need to “redefine leadership as lollipop moments.” Check out the video below…
And finally, feel free to share this quote by Marianne Williamson that sums up Dudley’s message:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”
The quote is also featured in the film “Akeela and the Bee” – check out the clip below:
